Explained: Warning (Approaching resource limit) – MySQL Quota or MSSQL Quota

When you reach approach or exceed the default size of your hosting packages inclusive database quota/storage you will receive an email from support@pipeten.co.uk or .com to the primary account contact with the subject “Warning (Approaching resource limit)”. This post provides further information on what can be done to remove ‘MySQL Quota’ or ‘MsSQL Quota’ warnings.

If you exceed your inclusive database quota then you will be charged over-usage on every MB above the inclusive database quota.

In order to stop receiving warning emails you must either:

1) Increase the inclusive storage of your database to beyond the current usage (at additional cost). Simple instructions on how to increase database storage can be found for MySQL and MSSQL.

or

2) Reduce the size of data stored in the database (through archiving or deletion). MSSQL users should be aware that the transaction logs are shrunk nightly.
