When you exceed 95% of your hosting packages inclusive web quota/storage you will receive an email from support@pipeten.co.uk or .com to the primary account contact with the subject “Warning (Approaching resource limit)”. This post provides further information on what can be done to stop receiving “Linux Disk Quota”, “Windows Disk Quota” or “Reseller Disk Quota” warnings.
When you reach 100% of your hosting packages inclusive web quota/storage no further data will be written to disk within your account. This can mean that:
- FTP uploads may error, be incomplete or denied.
- User uploads (through a website interface) may fail.
- Log files and other web stored data will stop being written to disk.
- Websites implementing caching may fail to display if there is no space for the cache files.
If you hosting account reaches 100% of it’s inclusive Disk Quota we suggest one or more of the following;
- Remove any unused data using FTP or the WebShell File Manager.
- Increase the size of the inclusive disk quota for the account. How to increase disk quota.
- Disable the storage of log-files for very busy websites (where visitor statistics are gathered through alternate methods or not required).
