Upgrades completed, it took slightly longer than expected due to a RAM mismatch but we were able to deal with it swiftly.
This maintenance is now completed and closed.
Brief: We are performing a RAM/memory upgrade on our Sheffield, UK shared servers web1.pipeten.co.uk and mysql.pipeten.co.uk to improve performance.
Timeframe: Thursday 18th March 2010 between 23:00 and 23:30.
Expected Impact: The web1.pipeten.co.uk HTTP service and mysql.pipeten.co.uk MySQL service will be unavailable for a few minutes whilst the servers are shutdown, RAM is installed and the servers reboot.
What you need to do: Refrain from performing non interruptible FTP or MySQL transactions on either server around this time period and inform us if you see any issues after this time.
