Maintenance Complete
We are due to perform maintenance on the following Linux shared hosting servers to resolve ongoing performance and stability issues.
Shared servers: dweb16.pipeten.co.uk
Date(s): Tuesday 17th January 2012
Maintenance Window: between 13:00 to 16:00
Estimated Impact: The updates involve the reconfiguration and restarting of the Web services, and also possible brief interruptions to the FTP and Control Panel services to customers on dweb16 as the physical server is rebooted after the updates are completed. This work has been completed on other servers and the expectation is for no more than 15 minutes downtime in total.
We will test site(s) and/or servers(s) after maintenance is completed in addition to our normal intensive monitoring and alerting. In the unlikely event you see any problems after the maintenance window and we have not otherwise contacted you then please do contact the support team.
Updates:
13:15 – This work is about to begin.
15:00 – This work has now largely been completed, we are just tweaking configuration values and monitoring things closely. A further update will be posted before closure.
16:00 – The work has 99% been completed, we just have a few small non service impacting configurations to tweak which may require brief httpd restart, as such we are extending this maintenance window for 30 minutes until 16:30.
