What does the Dedicated IP address in your packages mean?

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

Most websites on the internet are hosted on shared IP addresses which means that one IP address holds multiple domain names and depending on the domain entered in a users browser the server points it at the right bit of space on the system.

Usually dedicated IP addresses are used for specialist services such as secure ecommerce websites.

How do I change my name servers?

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

If your domain name is registered through Pipe Ten’s domain registration system you first need to log into your account at domains.pipeten.com. Click to view your domain names, then click the “M” icon next to the domain you would like to update, then click the link titled “Change Nameservers” and you can update the name servers on your domain. If your domain name wasn’t registered through Pipe Ten you need to contact your domain registrar and ask them to do this. Most registrars provide you with a control panel to allow you to do this yourself.
