When you register a domain name your private contact information is included in a publicly accessible database known as WhoIs. This information is available to anyone who wants to see it by performing a whois search on the domain.
If you have your domain names registered with Pipe Ten you can take advantage of our new ID Protect service by switching your “public” domain registration to a “private” unlisted registration. ID protect works in the same way as having your phone number “unlisted”. It ensures that your private contact information is protected by the “Domain Privacy Protection Service”. The domain names which support whois protection are .com, .net, .org, .info & .biz.

To enable ID Protect on a domain please follow these instructions:
1. Log into your domain name account at http://domains.pipeten.com/
2. Mouse over domains then click my ‘Domains’ > ‘Manage Domains’
3. Find the domain your would like to apply ID Protect to in your list of domains and click on the “M” icon to go to the management of that domain
4. To order the ID Protect service on your domain just click the ‘ID Protect’ logo at the top and follow the instructions
