• Login to IMP
• Click the ‘Options’ menu Item.
• Within the select box next to ‘Edit options for’ and choose ‘Mail’.
• Click the ‘Personal Information’ link.
• Scroll down and indicate that you want to Save Sent Mail.
• Now create a new destination folder called ‘sent-mail’ (if it doesn’t already exist).

New outgoing messages will be automatically saved into the ‘send-mail’ folder provided you have sufficient disk quota space available to store them.

http://mail.pipeten.co.uk or http://mail.yourdomain.com (when the DNS is pointed to us only). Then click the IMP (or SQWebMail) link. The username is the full email address user@yourdomain.com, the password is the mailbox password (which should be different from any of your other passwords).

1. First turn off the mail service for your domain.
   1. Find the domain in question via ‘Domain Settings’ -> ‘Domain Info’ in your hosting control panel.
   2. Click the ‘Edit’ icon next to the domain you wish to use a remote mail server for.
   3. Click the ‘On’ icon next to the text ‘Mail Service’, this will turn the mail service off for the domain.
2. Then add the MX records for your remote email host.
   1. Find the domain in question via ‘Domain Settings’ -> ‘Domain Info’ in your hosting control panel.
   2. Click the ‘Edit’ icon next to the text ‘DNS Configuration’.
   3. Ensure that all ‘Built in MX records’ have been removed by using the ‘Trash’ icon next any that remain.
   4. Add a new MX record by clicking the link ‘Add DNS MX Record’.
   5. You should then:
      1. Leave the ‘Name’ blank in most cases.
      2. Leave the ‘TTL’ as 86400 in most cases.
      3. Enter the ‘Priority’ of 10 in most cases.
      4. Enter the providers hostname for ‘Data’. In most cases this will be like ‘mail.gmail.com’ and should never be an IP address.

Let’s say you were sending an email to an AOL user from our cluster, and the AOL user clicked the spam button…

Well, we’ll know about it because AOL flags and informs every host/individual responsible for a block of IP addresses when SPAM (or what AOL users determin to be spam) is sent from those IPs. It’s brilliant, we get informed rather swiftly and we can investigate the report.

It’s not all good though, there are a couple of issues you should be aware of:

1. Many AOL users don’t know the difference between the SPAM button and the DELETE button.
2. If you forward emails from addresses on your domain from our servers to an AOL account and then mark it as SPAM in AOL. AOL then thinks it’s our servers sending the SPAM (and sends us an alert for every time a mail is marked as SPAM)!

So, what can we do about it?

1. Always have an un-subscription link in any mail-outs and make it clear how to stop receiving emails.
2. If you’re forwarding emails to AOL users from domains hosted with us, please do not click the SPAM button, click DELETE.
3. Never send spam from our servers, we will know about it and your account will get suspended or even cancelled.

This error will most commonly occur when using AOL or MSN which use proxy servers to filter your browsers content. The proxy server may randomly change its IP address and cause you to fail the web mail security measures.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this error and you must contact your ISP for further help.

In MS Outlook 2003 you can find the emails headers by:

1. Open to full size the email from which you want to get the headers (double click it).
2. Select ‘View’ and then ‘Options’ from the top menu.
3. You should then be able to copy and paste from the ‘Internet Headers’ box.

In Mac Mail you can find the headers by:

1. Selecting ‘View’, then ‘Message’ and then ‘Long Headers’ from the top menu.
2. You should then be able to copy and paste the headers that are displayed.

In Horde web mail you can find the emails headers by:

1. Open the email from which you want to get the headers.
2. Beneath “Subject:” you will see the heading “Headers:” now click “Show All Headers”.
3. You should then be able to copy and paste the headers that are displayed.

Yes, you can access your email through your web browser using the webmail facility. Links to this are available via http://mail.yourdomain.com or through the ‘Mail Manager’ section of the control panel. Your webmail username is your full email address.
