All the team at Pipe Ten just would like to say a big thank you to all of our customers that filled in our recent survey.

The turnout was very impressive and we got some great feedback which included both constructive criticism as well as compliments. As much as we thoroughly enjoyed reading all the lovely things you had to say about us we also got some great ideas on how to improve our services. You may have noticed that some of the ideas have already been implemented and others you will see in the near future.

While the team will certainly be filling themselves with the usual Christmas cheer (beer, mince pies, beer) there will be no changes to our primary monitoring, support and response services.

Pipe Ten have relocated their main Sheffield office to The Cube after six years of being based in The Workstation.

“The new office facilities will give us great scope for growth as we expand as a business and develop new products. As part of the ongoing programme to improve our service we have implemented a new nameserver into our hosting cluster called ns0.pipeten.co.uk and located in our Derby point of presence.

In order to take advantage of the new nameserver, domain names must be updated to include ns0.pipeten.co.uk in addition to the existing ns1.pipeten.co.uk and ns2.pipeten.co.uk nameserver records.

When you register a domain name your private contact information is included in a publicly accessible database known as WhoIs. This information is available to anyone who wants to see it by performing a whois search on the domain.

If you have your domain names registered with Pipe Ten you can take advantage of our new ID Protect service by switching your “public” domain registration to a “private” unlisted registration. ID protect works in the same way as having your phone number “unlisted”. It ensures that your private contact information is protected by the “Domain Privacy Protection Service”. The domain names which support whois protection are .com, .net, .org, .info & .biz.
